This is Eric and Toby, both ponies aged 5 months and both colts were found running down the A470 (busy By Pass)

fortunately both were rounded up and taken to safety at a holding centre where they could stay for 7 days (under the control of horses (wales) act 2014. As a last minute atempt to stop them  from going to slaughter, we had a phone call asking us if we could take them...we said yes......And here they are now, Toby is in the background, the other coloured is Marty, who again was rescued from a rubbish tip

This little mare and foal was found wandering the roads of a busy Industrial Estate, in Wales, dicing with death by dodging cars , vans, and very large lorries. The foal was just 4 days old, eventually they were rounded up and taken to a holding centre awaiting their fate, as luck would have it, H.A.C.K. received an urgent phone call, it was the 7th day and they were due to board the lorry of no return, H.A.C.K. was their last chance. How could we say  No even though we were full at that time......Mum is called Agnus and the little filly foal the general public named her Little Roo as she leapt about rather a lot....Happy to be at H.A.C.K. with people who care....
